Good luck with the boat. That was my first rc boat. I wish I still head it running. I had my fins set up with the screw holding it in the middle of the hole holding the fun in.

I got my new IM-31 V1 couple days ago, here's the mods I've been working on before the maiden run...
4mm bullets on the motor, Seaking 120A speedo, OSE upgraded flex cable (not HD version), Octura collet coupler (short), m445 prop (very popular for this boat), speedmaster adjustable trim tabs. All items are bolt on replacement / upgrade parts, no hacking on the hull or interior.

Also want to coat the wood interior for water protection, is this the right stuff for doing that??... http://www.lowes.com/pd_45860-24-230...roduct_price|0

Hope the gater's don't get 'er when I'm done

This is the position my fins are in. I have them adjusted just about all the way up and it seems to run just fine.fin.jpg

Also, if you notice in the picture, I have the prop adjustment all the way down. I'm getting 35mph runs this way. Not bad for stock..

put them where they work for your boat. try different adjustments to see what they make. usually if a fin is not set deep enough, the ass end of your boat will hop and skip when youre in a turn. at that point you know to move them deeper. hope this helps!

Yea seriously. The original post was a question about turn fins, three posts later, still no info on the turn fins, except something about a head and holding the fun in, which I did not quite understand??? (see post #2)
I take it you're the head expert around here. Glad I could make you "LOL". What are you, 12?

My apologies, I took that the wrong way - Thought you were making fun of my question. That LOL stuff is hard to understand sometimes, especially when you throw punctuation in there with it.
