    Miss Geico 29 V2 Neu 1515

Hello every 1 ordered Neu 1515 2200kv and also have a T180 esc! I was wondering if any has done any testing with this set and what kind of speeds were they hitting ? My goal is at least 60mph .

You should be able to get mid fifties with that setup on 4s.
2200kv on 5s is pushing it to the limits at over 40000rpm and may cause premature failure. Jmo

Possible as long as the drive line stays together and the boat stays on the water, be prepared to split your hull. I would add floatation if possible especially with the heavier 5 s packs.

I was getting 55 ish on 4 s and a less efficient hk4074 2000kv with a m445. Slight chop really unsettles it. Likes ripples though

You are going to love that motor! When I was building my Mean Machine, the member whose build I was modeling after had his Neu 1515 on 5s and was hitting high 50's with a m440 prop. These motors are more efficient than Leopard for sure, I am running it in my MM and loving it, although I run 4s2p with a bigger prop, m445. My MM ran neck and neck with my MG ( Leo 4082/2200kv, x642) which is GPS'ed at 53.5 mph.
Watch out for prop size tho.
BTW, here is the boat that has the 5s2p set up that I was talking about:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjEqH...ayer_embedded#!

What kinda batteries were you running ? I still have the all stock set up in the boat and I am not even hitting 40mph.
I have the 2 X 5300 7.4v 35c Thunder packs with a X642 s/b , the strut is level on the top of the mounts and the batteries are about 1 1/2" forward drom the transom
My CG is about 30% , I hear alot of people like that prop but for me I just cant seem to get it moving.

I used Sky Lipo, 4s, 5000mah and 40C. For my GPS run I was using x642, never GPS'ed with m445.
I have to apologize for bringing up the Mean Machine only because you said you wanted to run 5s. I agree with Stadiumyamaha that if you run 5s, start with a small prop such as m440.
My MG V1 started with the Leopard 4082/2200kv, so I don't know how the stock one runs, but your speed is consistent with this boat in stock RTR form, I think.

X642 is kinda small for the 1500kv motor on 4s, especially with the tounge slowing it down. Need more prop and/or rpm to get into the 40's.

If you put your boat on a table, how high is the strut?

The strut bottoms out on the table.
With the X642 at this exact set up I got up to 39 mph . I started about a 5mm up from the mount to back to even with the top of the mount and 39 was all I could squeeze out of MG now I am at the same place with anX442
