team believer aeromarine twin power advice

ok guys i have had the hull in my avatar for too long without power...its setup for twins already so this is the way i am going...was thinking twin 4074 leopards 1450kv 6s1p per side..would really like to be in the low to mid sixties and still be able to turn with this thing..i think its capable of doing this..the part that worries me is prop size with the 4074s i would think this hull would like bigger wheels like 48-52mm..i know my cheetah loves the 52mm...are these smaller leopards going to get it done?...twins will help the cause a lot of course..i am not sold on 6s but i have a ton of 6s batteries..

    thanks in advance

Those motors should work for you. The issue will be finding CR props suitable for them. x447s should work and give speeds in the high 50s if the cat is trimmed out right. In Octura the next up are 57s - which will be too large. Pitching up the x447s or finding other CR props should get you where you want to go.

4082's 1450kv d wind maybe have a little more grunt? i mean the price is not really much different between the 4074's and 4082's and may give myself a little bigger size prop range to trydecisions decisions..
of course this could be a twin 4s boat with 1515's 2200kv would probably be a nice running machine toowhole other can of worms...but at least its good cans of worms to be thinking about..

          oh yeah hi brushless

That would be a hoot in such a small hull with that amount of power!

thats just the thing the hull is deceptively "beefy" and has some weight to it considering its only 34 inches long but its a widebody like the cheetah and heavier

went with the 4074's 1400 kv...went the cheap route instead of my normal NEUS in pretty much everything but they will be good motors..will be lighter then 4082's and still spin decent sized props...have to find some 47 or 48mm 1.6 pitch props from CNC china next...worst case if it does not work well this summer there will be 2 4074's in the swap shop with my lose my shirt pricing...
hope the ice will leave my pond soon!!!

I think you made the right choice in the power department. I feel like most of us FE boaters overpower our boats nothing wrong with this of course lol. I think the 1400kv leos plus your battery setup will allow you to drive the boat fast but with control.
