    This is why I encase this area in proper epoxy. All hifei/SF esc's have this plug as well and are also a weak link that I take care of right away. If it's totally encased is totally encased very much like Schulze's U-Force esc or HobbyWing HV 130A esc.

    Yep, weak links like poor driver fets or poorly soldered fets in general will make short life of an esc, thats why I tear off the shrink and attack my Chinese units.

    It still doesn't give you 100% assurance though.

            I have that exact one and posted pics of it burnt by lipo melt down and it survived. Best get it from Steve but, mine is still ticking.
