I don't know if what hull it is EXACTLY, but it sure looks a lot like on of Brian's Whiplash 20's. The picture looks like a boat from Europe or Austrailia becuase of the exterior battery disconnect...
You can get a Whiplash kit from Brian HERE - http://www.blazermarine.com/index.ph...t_detail&p=100

Sorry pal, I missed this thread when you posted.
But as others have pointed out it is a 33" Whiplash, but with a Phil Thomas cowl with the turbine exhaust removed.
She runs pretty well at around the 100kmh mark. Very forgiving boat.
She's got new colours for this year though.

Cheers.

i almost throw money to a hydro fibreglass hull until i saw this boat on youtube, it looks extremely cool and real.
I know there are lots of similar hydro hulls made of fibreglass for the similar price as the wood kit, what's the reason to choose a wood kit rather than a fibreglass hull? assume the need for speed....Comment

This boat was already built by David Kingston.
I bought it as is. But a wood kit is just fun to build. I personally like building boats in wood, both FE & scale. See my blog for some of my scale boats.
A glass hull is probably stronger in a big crash. But this one's survived more than a few big blow overs at full noise. I'm not sure which is generally considered faster, a wood kit or a glass hull of the same design.
You are right, the Whiplash & Backlash series of sports hydros are a cool looking fleet.
Another one to check out, if you are looking for kits is the ML Boatworks, GP series of sports hydros. Comes in various sizes. I'm building the GP400 hull at the moment.
The GP335 would be the same size as my 33" whiplash. Here's a link.
And there's a build manual at the top of this forum page.
The first race in this video is me & the Whip coming second to Mark with a 30" whip. It's a shame Troy flipped it on the top bend. We were having a good dice for second & third.
All the best.

Oops. Sorry Chris.
For some reason I thought it was your brother.
Now you've got me guessing about the size of Marks boat. He's got a couple of different sizes so you could be right.
All the best.
