What wrong with the AquaCraft unit? I have seen no performance advantage between the AquaCraft 60amp, the Castle Hydra 120, or the Swordfish 120. I keep going back to the AquaCraft unit for it's simplicity. No programing needed, just plug in arm and go play. I wouldn't say that I am easy on them either.

          Later,
          Mike

I would have to say mike is right I have raced side by side with him for 3 year I have ran a castle and mike has ran AQ Like he said if one is better I have not found it and the 60 amp is under rated if i was doing it over again i would just use the AQ until something happens if it ever did. Mikes stuff is fast really fast I have learned from him that most of your speed comes from set up not just throwing more $ at it. Fred

I run both the ICE100 and the AQ60A. If there is a big performance difference it is hard to see. I do like the datalogging on the Castle -until I logged them I had no idea that many of the setups we run pull 80-90 amps.....

I prefer the aquacraft ESC-- they have been super reliable for me. I "upgraded" a tunnel once to a seaking 120 and it lasted 4 runs before it died... went back to the aquacraft... plus it is highly water resistant out of the box.

So it is looking like the AQ is a good controller
and no need for me to upgrade or change anything..
plus I have 2 or 3 extra of these babies for spares

Depends on club/district rules. Some require certain esc's as well.

Hey Todd. I vote for the Aquacraft as well. I am STILL using the one from my original UL-1. It's going on 4 years old...and still pushes my P-boat over 50mph!

Also, the feature of hitting full throttle before EVERY arming is a plus. You don't have to worry about throttle trims drifting, etc...

Well it looks like all my PSpec boats are staying with the UL-1 controller !!
