oh and when you say ouve ran it on 4s does that mean you have 2 4s lipos plugged in or the series connection making it up to 4s?

Qty 2 2S packs in series is the correct way

hey doby,

i took your advce on board but erred on the cheaper side and ended up getting a kb45 8xl, stinger adjustable outdrive, .150 flex, and 120amp esc, prob run 2 3s lipos in series as the motor handles up to 23v. i know it isnt an sv27 setup but your thoughts?

and i hope i dont offend for not using sv27 idea

I think it will be a blast on 6S, Question though, which speed controller are you using, you just mentioned it was 120 Amp, if its a Hydra, they can have issues on 5S, let alone 6S.

Other cheap speed controllers could have issues with the 120 amp rating being over rated.

I have had a nitro racer tell me that he likes and wins more with his sub surface .21 seaducer In heat racing... He says It Is faster and more stable In the turns and that's where the race Is won.

it is a 120 amp hextronic one from UH, only $60 i guess i'll find out?? i have one of these currently and it handles 100amps fine without cooling. but maybe 6s is pushing the boundaries....
