    cheetah help needed

Hey I have a FC cheetah hull waiting to be built up trying to figure out the power though. Would a 5682 800kv motor on 10s1p work ok or is this just too much motor for the boat? I am looking to run oval and oval only, could care to go over 55 mph. Or should I run a twin? Anyone who knows racing boats I would really like some help I have experience setting up big cats for high speeds but they run twin drives and I want to try something different now. Thanks.

I run a cheetah (34.25") . Mine runs a leo 4082/2200 on 4S2P. It will go around corners at 55mph and has run 63.2....
No way you want a 56 anything in this boat. You would just be retreiving it more than driving.

My similar-sized SprintCat racer runs 6S2P with a Neu 1527/1Y (1250 Kv). It runs 60 with a cupped and cut x455 and is a great, reliable race boat. Beware racing with cheap components. Reliability is as important as speed if you want to win, and a full one mile heat with mill and cooldown laps can stress cheap stuff more than just goofing around. Twins are cool but for a racer it is better to KISS. BTW, you can't race a Cheetah in P class (4S) since it is too long to be legal.

Thanks guys my decision will now be made easier. I will keep it simple. I have been building the longer 70+ mph mystic style boats but really want to try something new I hate having to slow down to 1/3 my boats top speed to make a turn.

-Maybe I just need to learn to drive better as Mike in the video is cranking turns with his mhz mystic lol.

I'm pretty sure that vid is from French Polynesia lol. I was just showing how another mystic owner drives his boat.

This video is from Lake Ronkoma on the island. Another video not mine this belongs to chris a member on here.
