N1 mono survived but, How about N1 Sport Hydro?? Could call it N1 LSH ???

    Hi Y'all.

Just stirring the pot on classes etc...

I know some go GAGA over the N1 mono class but, N1 hydro is dead isn't it?

N2 Hydro or N2 Sport Hydro will drain a bank account almost as fast as P-sport hydro will so... how about an N1 or NLSH class to run those old 24"-26" H&M hulls?

It could be powered by a 2860 Leo or a 3650 Leo or even this little 635watt motor.

Twenty bucks for a motor and a Suppo esc's would be the rule. Thats about $50 for the power setup, that's it!

Run it on 2S1P only and see what happens.

I know it's like watching paint dry right? ...but, that's what some say N1 MOno is like.

It's just a thought since big ponds are hard to come by for real races in Southern Ontario Canada.

This would be mucho fun on Humber Bay pond or the like....

Don;t beat me up too much, just thinking out loud...

    Cheers!

This should be a club class, not a National class. As an example, my club has an N-2 spec sport hydro class. Everyone runs 2S1P, a Fiegao 7L 3500 Kv motor and a stock m440 prop. Inexpensive and fast enough to be fun - mid-40s. We developed the class to be able to use our old LSH hulls. The class just keeps growing and is a great beginner's class due to the slower speeds. P-LSH boats are running 10 mph faster...

I like that idea! So are the hulls roughly 22 to 24 inches?

That's encouraging to hear Fluid, thanks! Can't really get 7L's anymore that I know of unless you go to Feigao direct and then it's $$$.

This is what I was begging for our clubs in this area to do a long time ago and now that London is a no go, who knows??

Yes, club racing is the way. I didn't really want to make it an official class, just poking to see who is interested in it.

Too bad I sold my H&M Lifter... fast hull....

Every one wants to go big....... until they see the cost. What we were thinking on a club level is a open RC Car motor class, 2S1P. No 1/8 scale car motors allowed this becomes a lot of fun with the little old boats, ESC and motors we all have and does not break the bank. 21 inch boats work great. Of course this is on a small course 170ft.X 30ft.

Yes, Humber Bay was perfect for that sized boat really and car motors are cool too, I have one kicking around.

You were there once I think about 10 years ago... It's a pond in Toronto Ontario. I know Alan N., Howard T., Terry D. all have been there. I thought you came once when we were still using brushed motors?? Maybe not..

Ray, in order for it to be considered for a club class, people need to show up for club races etc....throwing another class into the mix is not a solution when you can't consistently fill the ones we currently have.

There are more people to consider than those in the GRMM club John.

You have to wonder WHY that is then.

They are non existent when it comes to getting folks out on the water.

On a certain body of water yes. What do you know of who runs where else? Just because people aren't in a formal club doesn't mean they aren't on water just not 'the' water you speak of.

I don't do this to your threads btw. If I have I sincerely apologize.
