The new avenger will need a LOT more power to hit 60 plus that's the other 2 hulls however.

That's true, but wouldn't the cheetah need similar power to the avenger to hit 60?

Yup. It's a tad shorter when factoring in the transom overhang. Prob a lighter layup as well. Both hulls are pretty great.

Is that too much for a 55mph boat. Seems like I could build it cheaper.

It's not too much, and yes you probably could build it cheaper, but if he sold it for what it costs to build who's paying him for his time and skill to do it?

Plus, don't forget who the builder is!
Too many boats, not enough time...

Almost twenty years ago a 55mph boat would cost you a few thousand dollars. What he is asking is reasonable.

I don't know the builder but I assume you mean he is good?
It's a used boat Not a new one he built to sell ,he made his money
Building it for the customer so he has been paid for his time already.

Please do not misunderstand: I was in no way telling you how much you should or should not pay for a boat, I have no right to do that. I was just saying and agreeing with Heaving Earth that by the time you total everything together, the sum of your investment may surprise you. Also considering that this boat is built by one of the most respected builders in this field, I would snatch it if I had the money. I bought a VS1 Fe Tunnel just last week from another respected builder, so I can't have both.
