    P-spec hydro speed, using Voltron-2

Hey Gents, How fast should a P-spec hydro run to be competitive on a Namba circle course. I'm getting 45mph with a 445, no hot temps, readings are from a new Voltron2, second generation. I'm running an all new rigged insanity, 2030kv, aqua craft ESC with 10 cap banks, and 2 new Hyperion, 2s/45c/5000 batteries. Thanks for the advise.

That is too slow for most spec racing. My club's P-LSH boats with the same motor run in the low 50s. I'm sure you can prop up a bunch.

I started out small to be safe. What props/pitch do you think I need to order to step it up and get into the low 50's??
Kent, we posted at the same time and I did not see your H-7 recommendation. I have a brand new one and I will give it a try today.

Lol...ok try that out. The one I am using was modded a bit from Mark Sholund (he's on International Waters forums) ...great propwork from him...

Let us know how it goes....is the prop balanced and sharpened?

What was wrong with your esc...seems you have figured it out.....

A modded H-7 worked well for me, now I'm running a GrimRacer 42x66. 54 mph in my FE-30 on good water, uses about 2800-3000 mAh in a 6-lap one-mile heat.

Thanks for the prop suggestions. 3rd run with H-7 was 51.6 with the Voltron. My Private pond is starting to feel small. I have video. I will do some research on how to post video on my I-Pad. I can email if anyone is interested by PM email. I took a break from the spectrum. I have a brand new react I bought 5 years ago and never used. It works great. H-7 is stock and not polished or balanced. I'm going to research and mail a hand full of props off and get them massaged. Who is reputable and does great work?

                Great RC Day

That's impressive, smaller diameter and less pitch and more speed... I would guess you're pulling fewer amps too...

That just goes to show that a great set-up is worth the effort.

                  Good work,

Hi Allen, a guy on here named Egneg used to do them. Don't know if he still does but from I've read he does a good job!

Hotwater. Thanks for the advice in props. When it comes to the rigged insanity me (a 15 year racer) and him (brand new) had no clue on what to run. So i started him in the x445 to m445 range cause i figured we'd find the right one soon lol.
