    ESC Question

I'm new to this sport and my biggest challenge is learning how to deal with the electronics. I have a brand new speed control. Ran it Last weekend for a couple of minutes. Today I turn the radio on, when I plug the battery in there is no spark, rudder works, the speed control is silent, no throttle response. I don't even no where to get started. Please see picture below.

    Thanks for your help,
    Allen

Is the battery charged? Also, check all of the bullet connectors on the motor side...they may not be contacting well...one of the problems with the factory bullet connectors. I would reccomend changing them as well as the battery connectors to 5.5's.

Looks like a rigged insanity rigger you have...if you need any help getting the setup right on it, let me know...

Why is the esc throttle wire unplugged that go's to the receiver ?
Take some picture with the receiver in the boat with everything plugged in,
So we can see it all hooked up, Than unplug the battery.
And what TX do you have ?
        ? ONLY IF THEY WORK

The most common reason for the AQ ESCs to fail to arm is due to an improper position of the throttle trim. If your transmitter has a dial or switch to set the trim, chances are it was moved from the position it had last weekend. This is easy to do and can be tough to diagnose unless you remember the exact position it was in then. If you don't remember the position, start with the dial in the lowest position and try arming the radio. If that does not work, then disconnect and move the dial 25 degrees and try again. Keep it up until the ESC arms.

If it fails to arm then it may be a bad bullet between the motor and the ESC. But this is actually pretty rare. You could have a broken wire shorting on the cap bank. But I'd bet it is just the transmitter trim position.

I will follow everyone's guidance in the morning and report my findings. Everything is new and charged. Kent, you are correct, it is a rigged insanity. This is the ultra nice rigger I bought from Danny/DiegoBoy. I will definitely follow up so I can get this thing up to speed.
Thanks for the help. It will be another day over 65 here in Calif and I want to go play with my new Voltron-2 GPS !!

Here is a couple pictures. I got it to run this morning but I don't understand these radios. I got the motor to run by pressing the black TH trim switch behind the wheel. What I ended up with is wide open throttle and to turn the motor off I had to push the trigger all the way forward, full brake, relax your finger and it runs. I unplugged the batteries and set throttle trim to zero, EPA is at 125. Now I have no throttle. Went online and pulled the manual. It only describes how to scroll through everything and increase or decrease values.

Can someone shoot me a PM and I can call for some verbal instructions?
              Thanks, Allen

If you have the setting right, you plug the batts in, push full brake (one beep) then relax to nuetral (three beeps) and you are set and ready to run...

Wow, is that wrong for an AQ 60amp controller? From the AQ manual:

Plug each of the main power batteries into the ESC. At this time you will hear one beep. To arm the ESC
squeeze the throttle trigger and hold until you hear one more beep. Release the throttle trigger and you will hear three
more. You boat is now ready to operate.

I have one AQ esc that needs these strange settings with my spektrum DX2s, 2 others all arm fine, it's my oldest one, does exactly what you discribe. No idea why it's only one of three that does this.
The proper arming sequence is the one above. PLug in - one beep, pull trigger - one beep, release - 3 beeps. Good to go.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Yes, that is right...I said push to brake when I should have said throttle...my apologies...and yes one beep on plug in (I left that out)
