    2028 water jacket

    Hi,

does any one know of a nice looking water jacket for the CC2028?

i have seen the one on OSE, but am looking for something a little more special.... maybe a knurled finish o a bit more of a machined / 'engineery' looking cooler. ideally with 4mm bore fittings in and out. (6mm OD)

I've never seen a water jacket with that type of finish. Got a pic of one?

      Hi Espresso,

no i haven't got a pic, unfortunately i haven't seen one yet. just something i was hoping some one might know of to save having to make one or compromise and have a standard one due to cost...

I suggest you get one from the link above and if you want to make it "special", have it painted or wrapped in real or vinyl carbon fiber. After a few runs, you probably won't even care what it looks like but rather how it runs.

Why bother? Can't see it when the lid is on and the boats screaming across the water!
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

I made carbon jackets from 2.5" ID carbon tube. Don't have any pics though. Some machining was required on the motor to cut fins to make O-ring glands.

2.5" Carbon tube is not terribly hard to find, but it's usually only sold in longer lengths making it a bit expensive for a single motor.
