I'm curious what some of you that race P-Ltd offshore are running capacity wise, and what your RTR weights are.

Turnigy 5800's 30C...20% left after a race...as for weight....to lazy to check it, but the boat does weigh more with the batteries in it.

Wow Howard. That is pretty light. I was planning to parallel the two 4S 3850mah packs I have laying around for AZ. I guess I'll be on the heavy side at 6.25lbs RTR.
It wouldn't be the first time I ended up with a fatty :-)

Now I don't feel so bad. I have an old Mono hull I might butcher up like Larry Jaques did to a DF29...

I don't think you have anything to worry about, Sean. Most of the guys here run Cyberstorms with anything from 6500 to 8000 mAh packs. There's a few Pursuits and a Titan 29 as well.

I don't like to drain more than 5500 mAh's during an offshore race. That's my safe limit for the motor. 76 amp average. But, my Hyperion 6500's are running a little thin now. It's my third season with them.

I carry 8400 in my Mystic but it has nothing to do with needing the mah. That boat wants weight to stay put.
