Fine Design, Rocketcityracing and Hydro and Marine come to mind for new motors. They will not be cheap considering the euro exchange rate.

I would also try Brian at Rocket City Racing. He has been very good about ordering parts. You can also buy directly off Lehner's website. Keep in mind their prices include the 19% VAT, so you can take that off when shipping outside Europe. I have also bought Lehners from MGM in the Czech Republic too.

The kv or wind will depend on the voltage. Since you are already outside the NAMBA/IMPBA limits you can go as high as 14S and at least 2P per motor in that size hull. 12S is pretty common in that size so a 3080/10 or /11 would work keeping the amperage reasonable. Since you are buttering up to spend $2k don't forgot you will need another $2k for esc's and $2k for decent batteries.

            Damn straight!
And the list goes on for carbon engine mounts, battery trays.

So why lehner , oke they are the best quality but look at the tp 5850 they are a very good and sensebke replacement , just look at Mudle with his 2,5 m mystic.
I have a 3060/10 in use in one of my buster mono's on 2p 10s but if i schould buy it right now i would defenetly go for the TP 5850 serie's price quality wise.

                Greats Ramon

What's the power ratings on the Lehner 3060 or 3080? The TP5850 is rated 12,000W max? Is that proven or even realistic? That's equivalent to 16HP no? The CC2028 is about 8,000W or 10HP right?

mudl's 240 mystic is pretty impressive running a pair of TP5850. It would be interesting to see how a pair of CC2028 would perform in that hull just for comparison purpose.

When your busy ordering ev thing, and working away on it its fine.
When you sit back and add the hull, motors, esc, carbon mounts, drives , rudder , cables, props, servos , batterys, paint.. and heaps of little bits n pieces it just gets real scary haha, especially if your adding up out loud and your wife is behind you lol.
                        Any pics of your boat?

A tp5850 can diliver 8 kw continues without any problemand 12kw peak power.
Just keep in mind that the rpmv lehner gives up is mesuard under load so a tp schould be schosen with upto 20% more rpm.
And don't forget the weight advantage compared wit a 3060 ore 3080.

In my own model the Buster a 3060-10 700 rpm gives the same speed and runningtime as a tp 5850 820 kv with the same prop.
Here is a buster with a 920 wich is not optimal setup for speed but is also runing 100 kmh like mine with the lehner.

That Buster mono is flying! Hard to believe it's a 45" boat. Anyone know where's the best place to buy a TP5850 state side?
