    Caps for a sk 120a

    Hi,
    What do you think.
I need to replace my 35v105c 390uf caps on a sk 120a esc that are bad,
    Can I use what I have on hand, Which are 50v 85c 470uf ?
I need to order some 35v 105c 1000uf that I am out of,
Because that is what I like to use for caps when I have them.

    Thanks for any info.

I wouldnt. The temp rating is simply to low.

www.digikey.com They will ship first class mail for cheap if you ask. I think my last order was like $1.26 shipping...

ensure what ever you replace with has super LOW esr

if you run a low rpm system, high total uf is good.... 1000's .. more capacity for larger/slower pulse return/recharge.
conversely if high rpm ... 390 or 470's better for faster smaller return/recharge

        It just for fun running.
I was thinking some are better than none on it.

            Thank for the help,
So how about the volts ?
Like 35v on the cap and 50v, Would it be good or bad to have more volts ?
            I just found two 50v 105c 1500uf caps, But there big in size to. 1" 1/2 x 1/2"

35V is good for under 8S
And as your esc is 6S max.. it's a great choice . !

                Ok thanks,
So I will wait to solder and order some 35v 105c 1000ur caps.
I will save the 50v cap for my swordfish 240a hv that I have and need to add caps on to,
                That I will be running 8s and 10s on with a leopard 5692 730kv motor in a 48" mono.

                    I saw that Doc,
But I thought that you were referring to my top post on the ones I have that are 50v 85c 470ur.
Ok so the 35v 105c 470uf is what I will order and use.
