    Motor cooling question

    IMG_0336.jpg

I have a Turnigy Trackstar 2650 motor I want to put in my Mystic, but am having trouble finding a water jacket for it. I ordered a Caster Creations 1512 jacket from OSE but its a few mm to small. My friend said he could machine down the metal fins on the motor, but I'm curious if anyone else has any easier ideas I could do myself?

I'll get shot for this. I took pcv pipe and got O rings and cut to lenght. I used a dremel to hone out inside for the 1/8" O rings alittle and slide O rings in and then used Conformal coating to seal it all. I then used 1/8" brass tubing to the lenght of 3/4" , one for top at the front end and one for the rear toward the bottom and slanted both for easy access for hose. You may have to shave alittle at bottom for clearance. Why i did this is i was short on funds and had these items anywho, so why not. Leakage NONE for years. Weight, no increase what so ever. I did this to see if they would work and it did! I did this with 05 brushed motors and met with success!
