You know the same thing used to terrify me. Drillin a hole in a perfectly good boat...Now after a few boats...I get to cuttin and hackin...don't even think twice. You know what I learned real quick???? Glass, epoxy and some paint will heal 99% of all wounds.

      Titan 29 Setup Pictures Please

I'm also interested in building up an Aeromarine Titan 29.

I'm just getting into RC boats. (I have a decent amount of experience with RC cars, and I just completed a brushless conversion of a Losi 8IGHT.) The Titan would be my first boat project. An earlier poster in this thread mentioned that several of you might be willing to post photos of your setups. I would be very interested in seeing them, so I humbly request that you post them to this thread.

Also, since I'm new to boats, I'd love to see information on your setups: batteries, ESCs, motors, and especially props.

Thank you in advance for any information you can give me.

          ED66677,

Thanks for the link. I did indeed read that. I also saved it to my hard drive and printed it out. It certainly does have a lot of information in one place.

Still, I'd appreciate it if anyone with a Titan 29 would post photos of their setup. Thanks.

I have had my titan for a couple months now. I just painted it a few weeks ago. I love the boat. Handles great and is very fast. All I have right now is some pics of the paint, I will get some pics up the next day or so of the whole set up.

              Skeeler,
This was when I first set the boat up with a Lehner 1940 9 to run on 18 cells.

This is what I have today.
Neu 1515 1y with a Castle B-125 and 4s2p LiPo., X640 prop. I could push it harder but there is no need to.

                This boat is a BLAST.:D

                Good luck with your build?

                  adreher and D.Smock,

                  Thanks for the photos.

                  D.Smock,

I am considering using a Neu 1515 on 4s LiPo. I run a Neu 1512 2.5D on 4s LiPo in my brushless 1/8 buggy and like that combo a lot.) Thus, I find your post particularly helpful. I must admit that I still find props a bit of a mystery, so it's good to have an example of one that would work with the 1515. Do you have any trouble running the 4-pole Neu with the Castle ESC, which I believe is only designed for 2-pole motors? I know some people run Castle ESCs in Neu-powered cars, but there can be cogging issues. I can imagine that wouldn't be as much of an issue in a boat. Is that the Speedmaster rudder and strut you are using?

                  Other Titan 29 owners,

I'd love to see more photos and component lists.

I haven't had a single problem with any of the Castle controls with the updated firmware, Nemisis, Feigao, and Neu.motors.
Yes it is a Speedmaster strut and rudder. I just extended the rudder bracket out so that the leading edge of the rudder is even with the drive dog.

                      Thanks for your reply.

I just noticed that you are in Atlanta. I lived there through high school, and I returned to get my graduate degrees at Georgia Tech. Small world.

                        Yes it is.
Get that boat built and come back for a visit. We'll go throw a few gallons of water in the air. LoL

                              Doug,

Could you tell me what material you used for the stuffing-tube brace and for the plate to which you screwed the motor-mount? Also, what adhesive did you use to attach it to the hull?
