Sign of the times the Mom and Pop shops are squeezed by parts sold cheap from Other countries.

          Hi there,
I would appreciate a suggestion regarding your preference on a fast, reliable and easy to set up and run boat among the Blackjack, Aquacraft and Miss Geico cat.
Any other suggestions would ge great.

Lol, I was referring to the demise of many original boat designers and manufactures

how many of people own an hpr?
lets face it, theyre costly. and i highly doubt most of us have ever financially supported hpr by buying one.
i know i cant afford one, so does make me partially responsible for the demise of this company?
it also states that he is discontinuing the product at the moment. its not like he said forever

Actually yes, He is closing. Received an email from him last nite, He will still be in the hobby, but as far as taking orders are concerned no more will be taken after February. So sad.. I love my HPR 135.. Was hoping to get a bigger one, one day...

Ok i think we understand you cant afford one nor ever wish to spend the money on one if you did.

Its not only the product, but the experience and ideas one gets from seeing in the build of a HPR.
Every owner always puts in maximum effort to ensure it s a first class build to match a first class hull.
If your not affected in anyway from the closure of this product, why even comment in this thread

It is too bad, even depressing to learn this news. I admired his builds and watched some amazing videos. I am also not in the league to have one, more because I recognize his products are for serious boaters, here I thought perhaps one day...
It is difficult to compete with mass produced cheaper products, but it is not fair to compare: How can you compare a Leica M-Series Range Finder camera with a cheap Point-and- Shoot?
We are not talking film vs. digital, BTW.
Too bad the current economy is not helping, the "consumer grade" product will always have a market advantage than the elite grade product.
                          Just my $.02
Too many boats, not enough time...

                            Very bad news indeed.
I have only seen one of his hulls and believe me, it was a super boat.

                              hallo kollegen

                              genug.

                              herzliche grüsse hanspeter

Hello colleaguesI wanted to it were not so. all manufacturers in Germany can be cheaply manufacture in Eastern Europe. the work for $7 that hour.so you can see boats then also. I do not manufacture in Eastern Europe. only a hpr from me is a real hpr.I thought that quality prevails. Since I thought probably wrong. and ramsch I will not do. already by the World enough.cordial greetings hanspeter
