    Rmck hydrolift 1100

    Morning Guys
I picked up a hydrolift hull a while back and installed two TP 4060 (4092) 1600 kv with two turnegy 180 amp ESCs running on 6 cell 4000 mah Nanotecks. 45-90 C. Two 85mm stingers with Oct 447 props
I am getting average runs of 68 mph with this setup but I was expecting more with this setup.
Temps are warm but not hot. Can I run larger props or what do you recommend to increase the speed. The hull is very stable on straight runs battles a bit in the turns.
This is the same hull that has blown two of the same motors when they lost their magnets at way below the max rpm as per my last thread with the same title
    Thanks and cheers
    Graeme

Sounds a bout right, maybe you could get props with more pitch? are they X or M ?

That is all the speed you can expect from those motor Kv and prop pitch values - it's simple math. To go faster you will need to detongue and pitch up those props, or go with props with more pitch. You don't need more diameter.

When you say "warm" what do you mean? Some people consider 100*F as "cool".

          Hi Fluid
Both ESC and motors were about 38-40 deg C
What prop would you recommend with more pitch so as to increase top end.
The boat is really amazingly stable flat out and can do with more power
          Cheers

            Hi Guys
What prop do you recommend .47mm diameter with a increase in pitch.
Currently using the x 447 with no heat at all. What do I try for more SPEED
            Cheers

You are very limited in prop choices for your boat without custom work. The next larger size Octura C/R props are x457s which are far too large in diameter. You can cut them down to ~50 mm and expect a good increase in speed, probably 15-20%. Or you can pitch up your current props for a speed increase. The ABC 1816/3 props can be had in C/R configuration, you can expect a speed increase of at least 15% but they may produce too much lift for you. I am not personally familiar with other brands which would perform well. Hopefully others will chime in.

Myself.. I'd sell the motors and opt for higher kv.

Octura 648 about 23% more pitch.

Yes I think Rumdog is correct as I cant find any counter rotating on the net on this size prop
Any other suggestions I dont know how to recup a prop to increase pitch !
                        Cheers
