    Motor location question

Hello all I'm building a DF-35 and was asking where is the best place to position the motor? Close to the rear of the boat resulting in a short shaft tube or more forward resulting in a long tube? Looking at pic I have seen both. Also what is the best adhesive to use for holding down motor mounts servo mount and trays? My LHS says shogu????

    Thanks for any suggestions.

I like to keep the shaft shorter if possible, but sometimes the motor mount gets in the way of the battery packs so you'll see some folks push it forward.
You can use the location of the packs to adjust the COG, so you have a lot of flexibility on where you want it.

If shogu= shoo goo, then no for the motor mount. I like JBWeld. For trays, which you might want to have the option to remove and adjust, shoo goo is good for that (you can pry 'em up without causing too many problems).

I use epoxy and a very light fiberglass cloth. JB works well too, I just don't like how it looks
