I have seen all kinds of postings for 1/8th scale hydro motors. I will be running 10s with a 300 amp esc. Boat is a T5 Bud scatch built (Newton Plans). I am trying to decide between the Leapord 5698 835kv and the Leapord 5692 730kv. I have seen on other posts that say speed controllers may not work as well with a D wind vs. a Y wind. Any thoughts. Also, being scratch built, I am figuring that the boat will be a little on the heavy side. I will not be racing, just something to play with that will scare me a bit.
