    Thanks all for the info> I'm thinking of the Garmin Forerunner 101 ($90) verses the 201 ($120) as long as it keeps top speed in it"s memory, Like Kevin said, the tape job adds time but I have a watch to do that and less buttons is good as my VCR has been flashing 12:00 for the last fifteen years. If this is the right choice, let me know.

      At twelve press the time set button. You should be ok.

        Thanks Dom, It's old school so I need to throw it away, remember the 4 track and 8 track car stereos, 1966 to 70?

          Oh yea. I got rid of my home deck in the 80's. But I still have a reel to reel and a few turntables. Odd thing is, my older stuff sounds better than the newer stuff. And yes, technically, I know why. But...back to topic. Don't want to hijack this thread.

            reel to reel? do you still have the head demagnetizer? A pointy thing with a cord and no switch or light and figure it must work?
