    I would like to add something to that.... The number of poles the motor has - I.E. 2, 4, 6 - it's my understanding that all things being equal, more poles = more torque; more torque = bigger prop the motor can spin.

    My 2-C, pls correct if wrong.

      The shut down of the motor at full throttle was fixed by requiring with 12 gauge wire and better soldering job on cap bank

        Re wired with 12 gauge and had the cap bank soldered in by a pro. No more motor problems at full throttle. Just goes to show us all, boats are not an exact science.
