    DF 6s

Ok all, I have my home built wild thing that is turning out to be a great 4s boat at 31". Have ordered a 33 Delta force hull and wonder if this hull would make a good 6s hull with a 1521 1y nue? Any Ideas. Darrin you about mate. The wild thing with a 1515 1y on 5000mah cells and a m545 is cool at 50mph in oval trim and winning race's. I am thinking the 38 mite be a better alternative. You have to remember that In Australia one pack is the rule. And 33" has a lot less drag and demand than a 38". Cells are expensive and not being able to run two pack puts large demands on them. I can run two pack but they must be in series IE: 2 x 5000mah 4s to equal 8s.

    Andy,

I think a 38" hull (DF or Seaducer) would be better for 6S. A few of us are setting up DF33s for 4S, so I think it will be overpowered with 6S - even at 1P.

I would think a 33" on 6S1P might be a decent choice... There is a 35.5" hull out there in Delta Force world as well... I had one that I sold to one of the guys in Canada recently... It's a Nitro boat that has the exhaust cutout in it, but that's easily filled in.

To be honest... with our 4S2P systems, we could EASILY power a 39" hull to race speeds and beyond... I would think a 36" or 39" DF hull would be a breeze for a decent 6S1P setup... If I were building one for 6S1P, I'd go for the 39" at least... With some good 30C cells, it shouldn't be a problem at all...
