Current spike from elogger, is it accurate?

Just trying my V2 elogger out for the first time (thanks Steven :)). Had two runs about 6min each on my electric boat. The data shows the average current draw about 40amps and about 5:30 into the second session, it all of a sudden spikes to the max reading range of the V2, to 100.39 amps, and then a split second later, a reading of 0 amps, it then continues normally for the rest of the session. I don't think the prop hit anything and as far as I remember the run was fine.

Are spikes in the readings normal (although it was only for one second over a 12 min session), or could this be an actual reading?

I've seen the same type of thing with mine. Keep in mind the total length of this record is only about 40 seconds, so the spike appears longer in duration. From what I've seen this sort of thing is not unusual.

Could this happen because it is getting a surge of power when you plug in the batts? Example like when you start your car and if you watch the gauges youll see some go to max and then come back to normal.

That might happen, but in my case it happened during the run, and not when plugging the logger into the batteries.
