        Happy New Year fellas!

Doug, those are the most populated classes at most venues in the country. They've been the most populated classes at the NAMBA FE nats for years. This is where many get frustrated. I know IMPBA and NAMBA both cling to this notion that they can't use any information or expereience from the other organization. It's absolute nonsense. It's the same group of hobbiest with a different badge. It's not even like democrats and republicans. There's no hate of the other. haha

Use what's been proven. A successful approach demands attention. I gaurantee that if IMPBA came up with some formula that was putting racers on the stand.................NAMBA will use it too. In fact, if I were proposing it I would site a succesful application by IMPBA as proof of concept.

If the concern is that the tech will suddenly dry up and be unavailable address it at that time. LSH use to be 700 drill motors and and Nimh cells. The cells vanished and brushless motors became about the same price as the drill motors so we invented a new rule set. Think Dave fixed that. It's working for now. When it doesn't we fix it again. IMPBA has an FE chair that's actually part of the FE community now so it's not like problems will flounder without being fixed.

Doug, clearly you've been accused of things you never even thought of too. Sorry man.

But Doug, I hardly slung any mud at IMPBA this time. Just a dab. Aren't you proud of me? I are all grow'd up now. Kevin wont even need to sock me in the head er noth'n. oh! and the best thing ever Doug................ I am no longer a representative of either organization in any capacity what so ever. Just a racer. Jealous?

Limited spec is the best thing to happen to FE in ages. FE racing that is. Cheap, realtively simple, fast enough, and equal.....ish most of the time. Makes a great platform to get guys on the pond and competitive in a short amount of time.

LOL Terry. Yes, I am proud and jealous of you. I spoke with Kevin today, he got his freedom at 12:01 last evening.
You've both earned it, enjoy yourselves!

Maybe he can actually do some racing now. Sounded like being president had beaten the desire completely out of him.

                  Sorry for the hijack.

Find 3 guys that like boats, find a type of boat that all 3 like and build em........then race em. Stick with it. Tell your friends about the fun you're having. Fun is contageous. Official course, unofficial course....doesn't matter either. Don't get hung up on the rules so much. This hobby is about fun and checking out from the daily grind. Focus on the fun first. My opinion at least. I've lost sight of that more than once over the years. Turns it into a job. Don't let that happen to any of you.

Now, if you're really wanting to adhere to the rules just incase you might want to race with more people.....that makes total sense. If you get confused about what they mean just ask here or ask your district director. Heck, send the FE chairman from either organization an email. Both those guys are in the know and very accessible. The district directors usually know where there are pockets of guys running a particular type of boat too. If you quiz the NAMBA D2 director about racing FE he's got a finger on that pulse. The IMPBA district guy will likely know if there's any FE races going on in the district too.

Thanks - I live 200 yards from that pond and our group runs their electrics there. And thanks to all who commented on this thread. Have to get ready for the Celina RC swap meet on the 6th.
