    offset rudder

Hi I am looking at getting a few parts together for a Fantasm single build for next year, but having a hard time finding an offset rudder.

is FC the only company that has offset rudders? they are out of stock and have been for a good bit even worse i bought one from FC when they first got them in, but it never arrived .
wondering if KB boats sell the complete rudder and cable or OSE?

Fine Design makes offest strut/rudder hardware. So does Kintec Racing and Hyperformance RC. I think they are all more suitable to smaller boats though. Plus people have had problems with Kintec and Fine Design. One of these days I'm going to build a bigger cat and when I do I think I'm going to enlist a machinest to do a custom offset bracket using Speedmaster hardware.

That's not a special 'offset' rudder, it's the typical inline strudder that is original equipment on the Genesis from China with a piece added to offset it. The offset piece is available from RC Boat Bitz or Kintec for about $20. I have a nice offset rudder I aquired a while back to do a Genesis, but its strut was a little further back (requiring a longer stuffing tube), so I went a different direction. It is a robust, well thought out design with a 3/16 strut. Has a lube port in the strut and is gunmetal gray in color. I would sell it for $50 shipped CONUS if you are interested.

I'd go for one of these mounted offset on the transom and a separate strut on the rudder standoff

The only problem with the Fantasm is that you are committed to mounting the strut and rudder to the center of the transom. Outside of that it's about 7/8'' tall and very hard to reach from inside.
