Hey all, have just finished building my DF Pirate, and to do that i have stolen the ESC from my osprey. I did have a spare T-180, but i think i thermaled it on the last run that i used it for, and it started cogging so i pulled it from the boat. I decided i should try to revive it so i can get both boats back on the water, and found that one leg had pretty much desoldered from the ESC. I've fixed the solder joint up and checked the other legs and they all look fine.
Now when i power up the ESC i dont get any beeps signifying cell count, but the esc will still arm and spin the motor when throttle is applied and will still allow me to change program settings with the program box. I've only tested on 2S, usually i would run this esc on 6S but after having a T-180 catch fire in my hands i am a little sceptical of trying it to see what rev's i can get from the motor.
Would you use this ESC or toss it in the bin? What could possibly be wrong and might i be able to fix it to get the ESC to beep the cell count again?
Cheers
Chris
