    Watts question

Will a motor with higher watts give me less run time?

Not really/neccesarily.You are going to use X amount of energy to go a certain speed with a given prop.Actually it could get better. If it is the same size can I would think it would be more efficient to give more power,or it could have heavier windings to handle more amps,so it would take more juice to get going but once going it will turn the prop easier.
It is all kinda a big block small block kind of thing.
Perhaps some one will chime in but I think that is about it .

If the weight ratio is acceptable no but probably you end up with a litle cavitation.
Also if you have big cavitation you will end up with less run time because a bigger motor draws bigger amp spikes.
      eg.from a 3665 2200kv to 3674 2200kv with same prop.
You may try a 6pol motor of the same size.

I was looking at two motors to run on 6s, a 5682 1340kv 4500 watts and a 5692 1340kv 5500watts, does amyone know how many rpm's, these big motors can handle, before the windings come apart, 35000??? 50000???, says good to 8s????

I am also about to embark into the "biggie" motor world. I wouldn't go any higher than 30'000 rpm. They are meaning 8s on an 800-900 kv motor. You may be able to push the "loaded" RPM because I assume it is a big hull that will be planted in the water but do so at your own risk.

Both 6s motors in a boat, Leopard specs are not specific for boat uses so ignore max voltages stated for use in boats. These specs are for car, plane & helis.

Depends what you want to do.
Try a TP 5682 8D 6pol 1350kv and there is always the outrunner solution...

The original question was, what will the 5500 watt motor, do fo me or not, such as run time, that the 4500 what will or wont, thats what I want to know, I guess, thanks.

Would that be a better option than a Leopard? Got a link or place to buy, I was looking at tp, but only saw a 1100kv motor????

Then in your case i would go for 8s 1200kv motor.

I am trying to go with a kv for 6s, I got a bunch from a member on here, used once just like new.

Do think a 5500 watt motor will eat up the batts faster than the 4500?

That would give me 26660 unloaded, doesnt seem like enough. I dont know, I would rather be near 30000.
