    Delta Force 26

Well i just bought this hull and wanted to get some thoughts on powering this boat i have seen some very big power in these boats and was curious how they handle this type of power. I have seen these boats run very high speeds my initial thoughts were a swordfish 200a or seaking 180 and a 4074 motor but will this be to much for a 26 inch boat. So i would like to hear other opinions on this thanks for your time.

The DF 26 is likely the most amazing 26" hull in popular use. Can it go fast ? Here's some SAW record results from last November's NAMBA straightlines :

              Tyler G.'s 26" DF mono :

              P-Mono 80.616mph
              N-2 Mono 76.323mph
              N-2 Offshore 72.023mph

[Extreme SAW setups, (Lehner powered) def not for sport, but show hull capability]

              A DF26 with a 4074 or 1515 will be a fast/fun/wild ride

For comparison sake (but not apples-to-apples), a bigger, heavier, wetter running Titan29 with a 1515 1Y 2200KV on 4S and a mild prop at the edge of control:

That same setup in a DF26 will be quite ballistic

Another not apples-to-apples example is my P-Ltd Mono (spec power - AQ 2030 on 4S) record of 54.450mph in a way bigger/wetter running 30" JetChopper30 with a monster SAW prop. With a moderate prop like a M445 I could run that boat for sport with plenty of grins.

Bottom line : I'd consider a nice AQ2030 spec setup and you'll be doing right around 50mph and have plenty of fun runtimes.

Yes it is. Trailining edges may be worked/sharpened.

I've got the same boat and had a leopard 4074 2200kv with a swordfish 200 that I ran on 4s, and it was quick but in my opinion it was overkill. I'm now about to put a leopard 3674 1700kv and a seaking 120 esc in it and run it on 5-6s

These are great little hulls and good speeds can be easily reached. 4S with 3300 or 4200mAh in 2P fit tight but give a good balance of performance and weight for stability. I would shoot for 2200-2600kV in something like a 1415/1515 size motor. They seem to like props ranging from 40-46mm. You could also consider a Castle 1415 1Y with appropriate speed control for a system.

Oh and BTW, the 80 mph pass was done with a 2600kv motor and 43mm S&B prop. Nothing that exotic really, but a very fine tuned and well balanced set-up.

Well than maybe a HK Trackstar 256okv 6 pole would work well in there?? BTW, I make water coolers for them, cheaper than That other place..

After I crashed my Impulse 26 and split the hull, I bought a DF 26 and moved everything to it. I ended up with a Leo 36-50 2900kv on 3s with a Seaking 120 esc. With a x437/3, it runs mid 40"s easy. Just make sure you sand and clean the inside of the hull before you try to glue your parts in.
