MMP Rapid offset stinger??

    MMP Rapid offset stinger??

    Hello!!

    I have a MMP Rapid on the way and I see that some in some built theards they have set the stinger 3-4mm offset?
    Is this something that I shoud do??

      Im not 100% sure about the stinger offset with this hull, theres a lot of V from the hull in the water.
      Almost all the photos of the hull, or the race master, the rudder is inline, as well

      Ive got one all ready to be built up, just never got around to doing it.

        A lot of mono hulls have the drive offset to the right to counteract prop walk. In full gas, the mono hull has a tendency to steer right, so the offset is one of the cures...

          Not too long ago I read a post on another forum by one of the pioneers of the offset drive line, he has gone back to running things centered, he decided it caused other handling issues.
          The post is on IW under the mono section, very interesting read with lots of good info from the top nitro racers, lol the posters were pretty much a who's who of rc boating.
          If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

            Okey.. Thanks for reply.. I think I wil try with the stinger in center and hope I wil be okey..:-)
            My plan is a TP power 4092 from fightercat so I belive it wil be fast..

              No offset on a MMP Rapid, the hull is a deep vee . The best you can do is all inline and you move the COG with batteries. Or build a twin setup
