    Rule book update?

Will the new NAMBA rule book be updated to include prb3830 in the list of allowable motors for p-ltd? It currently only list prb3310 & prb4017 of the pro boat offerings. However section D subsection 1 subsection d subsection iii subsection b states that any generational update of a currently approved motor will be allowed so long as there is less then a 5% increase in kv or maximum amperage rating. A simple search doesn't return a spec sheet for prb3830 but that is the part number listed in the users manual for the BJ 29. So that leads me to question 2: is prb3830 available for purchase outside of the updated rtr offerings.

I don't have one of these motors so ultimately it doesn't matter to me, just trying to clarify for the 2013 race season though. I would assume it is allowed, but you know what they say about making assumptions

Darin told me that the Proboat motors have been rebranded to the Dynamite line. PN DYNM 3830 and DYNM 3835. The specs are identical. Here's how the NAMBA rulebook reads:
    D.1.d
iii) In addition, the CD has the discretion to allow the following:
    (a) An aftermarket motor that is a re-labeled and exact copy of any
    approved motor.
    (b) Any generational change of an approved motor, or a motor that
is used in a Ready To Run (RTR) offering from a manufacturer
that produces over 100 units of said offering, as long as there is
no more than a 5% increase in any of the following
manufacturers specifications as compared to any single
approved motor: Kv, maximum constant amperage rating,
    mass, and MSRP.
    (c) The race flyer shall list additional allowed motors for the event

That leaves it up to the CD of any given event. Mark Grim said these motors will be legal for our time trial events at Legg Lake.
