Electrified

Greetings,

I am looking for info and pics if possible for a boat that's called The Electrified. I ordered the plans a few days ago but cant find much info about it. It seems it was a popular one it's days. I mostly build and fly rc airplanes but ordered these plans cause it seems like a good entry level boat. I appreciate any help guys.

The guy who designed it was in my old club, but he's been out of boating for a long time. It as intended for 6 nickel cells and an 05 car motor. Quite a few were built in its day. I don't have any pics other than what you can find in a Google search. What else would you like to know?

Fluid, thanks for the reply. I have looked everywhere to get a few pics but I can't find any. Not even on Google images. Maybe you could tell me what would be the equivalent of the 05 today in a beushless lipo setup. I am not looking for extreme speed just descent speed and good run time. This would be my first boat with a motor I have had sailboats but they really don't have much in comon other than they go on the water. Again man thanks for the reply.

SW, thanks for the reply. That is useful info! I will probably post some pics when I start construction. Maybe that will revive the little fella for some more time. Who knows even updated version. If anybody has a pic of one please post it!!

Ok, So it seems my plans are going to take some time to arrive. I couldn't wait to build something so here we are.20121219_222652.jpg

I laid something similar to the Electrified in Sketchup when I build it I'll just pass all the stuffing to it. So I laid out this thingy here. The dimensions are almost exactly as the Electrified. I have a Mega 16/15/7 with 11.1 lipos and ESC. This is an airplane setup but I am wondering if this setup will move it along. Like I said I don't want to race or anything I just wan it to move along. Also what kind of rigging should I use for the rudder and drive shaft, prop. I appreciate any suggestions this is my first boat built so this is all new for me. I appreciate the help guys.

OH hey, I have the build article from RC Boat modeler somewhere. I actually took a drafting compass, using as a set of dividers and scaled up the drawings in the magazine. Built it and used a brushed car motor and 6 cells. Actually went very well. Hmmmm....may be time to build another.
Now where did I put all those old issues?
I may want to get in touch with you ,Danko, and see about getting a copy of the full size plans. Otherwise I believe they can still be purchased somewhere.

I almost did the same thing. I took measurements and laid out in Google Sketchup in 3D then made parts in 2dD.
So it's not identical but very close. When I get the plans I want to see how close I got it. Actually I am very curious how cllse I got it.
I actully have in mind doing a radiused deck on a next build. I liked this model since I first saw the plans.

Yes the same happened to me with some crystals. They were fm though. Still the are becoming hard to find. Thanks for the info I know this will be a great boat. And I cannot thank you enough for the parts.
