Want more speed - top end

    I have a 32" pursuit and currently running the stock 1620 motor. I am using 2 50C 7.4V 2s batteries. I have a seaking 120A speed controller.

What I was wondering to get more top end what motor I could step up to running the same batteries and speed controller. Just a simple motor swap.

What are you guys thoughts??? Help I'm a newbie for sure. Thanks!!!

I was gonna suggest x442. Start with a little less pitch than x6 or prather 1.5

The weak point is the controller. It takes more watts to go faster, and since volts are the same that means more amps are needed. There is no free lunch, eventually the ESC will pop. I recommend starting low as Dana recommends and stepping up on small change in prop load at a time. Or buy a T-180 and go fst enough to blow the boat off the water.

I was running a detonque 642 with t120 and leo 3674 2200kv with no problems.
Also all my connectors were 6mm.

That all sounds great. I have a octura x440 coming in the mail. Also I looked at that t180. I think I will start with the motor and then upgrade the controller.

Thanks again everyone. I will let you know how it goes!!!
