    Old school Kyosho Hurricane

I lucked out and got 4 boats with radios in a garage sale. Well I got 3 electric boats for $10, and one nitro for $40. One of the electric boats is garbage, the other is a mrp hydro, and a kyosho hurricane. The nitro boat is a prather V with 3.5KB outboard. The hurricane looked like it was almost never run. After going over everything and assembling it correctly (I took out the old mechanical speed control and put in a proboat brushed speed control) I stuck a 3s pack and gave her a rip. Broke the blades off that old prop, lol. Love the sound a twin brushed motors. Those lemans 360T motors were so good in their day.

Cool find! This was my first RC boat and I still have it but don't run it anymore.

Nice paint job! From the looks of the rooster you modified it? What did you so to it?

I went with a direct drive KB45 BL motor and 75 amp ESC (they were given to me and did quite well but there are better choices now). This was on 4S1P and a modded Prather 225.

Nice! I have two mrp hydros. One is the miss bud, and the other I am not sure. Very close to the bud hull but no wing. Both had twin brushed motor setups in them, but are long gone. When I get inspired, I will resurrect them for the hell of it. I usually have enough spare parts lying around, and an evenings worth of work. Right now I am rebuilding the prather V with KB 3.5 outboard on it. It's been sitting a while so I just went through everything, re-gluing stuff, replacing bad radio gear. Now it looks like the prop shaft is bent on it, so I might just take a part the whole outboard and give it a good going over.
