pro boat esc?

Have a ? anyone know if there is a differance between the blue proboat esc..or the pinkish red one that comes in the apache 24 now?

if the blue you refeering to is the one in the SV27 thats brushless and the pink one in the apache 24 is brushed.

seems like its only the color.
the part name here at OSE is Product ID: dh-prb2314 and on proboat its PRB2314 (copyed from the manual) but i been wrong before.

The blue brushed esc from proboat is good to 10 nimh cells. I would bank on the fact the red esc is only good for 7 or 8. Both are for 20 turn and up motors and should not be pushed. I ran the blue one on 8 cells & an 19 turn motor and saw 150 degrees.

yep my blue one ran on 7 cells with a stock 550 motor and it blew up with in 3 runs.

It's not that they are a "junk" esc. They just need to be used for what they where intended. Small light boat's not intended for any type of high performance. If the esc in your stock hammer, apache or scale boat goes south this is the perfect replacment.
