Help identify this motor and speed control???

Can anyone help identify this motor/esc? I found this used Aeromarine avenger 44 that has a bad esc for sale. Sent an email trying to find out what its got in it, so I know what I'd be getting into. But havent heard back yet. motor looks like a leopard. Thats all I can see.

Does the motor can color represent anything with the leopards?

            Fine Design built this boat.

Check out their site for simular builds.

Esc looks like one of the Castle Hydra HV's.

I thought so too. I've heard chris fine's boats are built well. Just wondering why the esc failed. I'm assuming its a HV setup. And probably an older Hydra. If so, that means an additional $300+ to get it back on the water.

They ( Fine Design) have their motor in Gold color, they call them '' Nemesis Gold", I have to say that I own one such motor ( 4082, 2200kv). I have several other OSE Leopard 4082 in 2000kv and 2200 kv configuration. There is probably no difference but when you hand turn the shaft you notice that one can barely turn Fine Design's. Some say the magnetic strength is stronger with such motor, but how can the same maker make the same motor but with different feel? I like all my motors, they have worked great, but I have wondered about the different feel for a long time.

Finally got an email back on this. Motor is a leopard 5692 730kv and the esc was a castle hydra 240hv. It is a fine design build. I just picked this one up as-is for $450. Now I just need to find a hv esc for it.

That is a great deal even if the ESC is not working, great find!

Finally got to open this guy up for christmas. Needs a little work, but not bad for 450 bucks. The motor ended up being a 5698 910kv. Looking to either go with a 5698 720kv or castle 2028. Got a good lead on a new/unused leopard. Still havent decided on the esc. New SF 240hv pro or castle ice2 200hv.

Got the new motor in(5698 720kv), and am borrowing the castle ice from another build til I can find an esc for this one. Ready to go. Starting out with 8s lipo and a 54mm prop.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1357428160.532003.jpg
