    Drive system hardware...

Need some expert assistance. Have a Dumas PT boat, plan to put in twin motors/props. Right now I want to use the SuperVee 27 motor or equivalent/esc/cooling, my plan is to use the Dumas drive hardware for the PT kit, but to re-prop, since the Dumas drive kit uses a 1" plastic prop (since Dumas meant it to be used with a 6V motor if I recall). The drive hardware is 1/8" steel shaft, brass stuffing box .

Is this drive hardware going to be okay with the brushless motor? Do I need to consider a larger solid shaft or some other shaft arrangement? What would be a good sub-surface prop for this motor? I plan to run either 3s or 4s lipos for power. If someone can provide a recommended list of drive hardware and where to get it, would be much appreciated. Thanks....Pete M

This is a scale boat and the power you are thinking of using is way too hot for the hull. For a source of hardware, motors etc. try Mack Products as they are specialists in scale boats.
