    Lipo Help!

I have two hextronik D9 3s 1700ma packs. One pack reads between 4.1-4.23 between each cell (measured on the balance plug). The problem is it only will only read 4.23 volts on the main dicharge plug insted of the 11+ volts it should. Why is that? Both packs now only read around 4 volts on the discharge plug. Did I kill them?

Thanks in advance and great site!!

Are you measuring at the balance leads or the battery leads?

I think i found the problem. I was measuring each cell wrong on the bal con. I was using the black for the ground on all the cells and not measuring them across each cell. I remeasured the correct way and got 4.23 on one cell and .02 on the others. Is it dead????

Does hextroniks have a warranty? The packs are 2 weeks old and have less then 5 charges on them. I purchased them from hobbycity.com (unitedhobbies) with a ic6 charger and lipo ESC and brushless.

        Thanks

Was the pack fully charged when you are measured it? What happened when you put the balancer on the pack? Did you use a low voltage cutoff when running the pack? Did the pack ever get wet? What was the boat/motor/prop combo?

If the total pack voltage is under 12.6 volts fully charged then either two cells are damaged, or there is an internal short/bypass. Looking at the UH waranty, it appears that you are probably SOL. Sorry.
