    DF Pirate COG setting

I am considering moving batteries and COG to near 30% from 32% because I suspect boat is running a little wet even though it is running very smooth and stable. The problem is in order to move batteries back I have to move them out and therefore up in the hull.
Your comments and suggestions would appreciated.
The pictures shows the current placement and you can see what I have to do to move to the rear.

I was putting cells at end of motor and at bottom of hull V. I want to move them up and back to the esc and servo. Is that what you agree should be done?
The black on the floor is the Velcro that the batteries sat on.

            Yes,
That was what I was thinking,
When you first asked in your build thread were the COG needed to be.

The Velcro in the picture puts cog at aprox 32%. felt like I could unload the motor if the cog moved back. I have seen threads with COG as far back as 28% on other hulls. Was not sure if those percentages were approximately a universal starting point or if they were specific to certain hulls.

Everything reset and batteries beside motor with ESC in front of motor. COG close to or less than 30%. Planned on running Saturday but could not locate any 1/4 fuel line at LHS. Really stinks that virtually nothing available locally for FE. Now it freezing cold but hope for warmer weather this coming weekend!

Go to a lawn mower repair shop,
They should have fuel line for chain saws in different sizes,
We sell it by the foot.

Got everything reset in the Pirate. Moved the batteries up the hull and back beside the motor. Did not seem to make much difference in speed but only had appearance as reference. I have not acquired the eagle tree GPS yet. The boat was less stable and had a bit of looseness to it. I think it is referred to as chine walk. I moved the batteries 1/4 forward for the next run and it was more stable. Water was kind of choppy today.

I am having a little heat problem on the motor.
The sensor is mounted to the can on the last 1/2 inch behind the cooling jacket. It levels off at 155 degrees. Runs 5 plus minutes with octura 445 sharpened and balanced. Running 6s 2p Lake temp isin the 60 + range. I do not see water exiting the outlets but I checked and they are open and wet.
                          Any ideas or comments?
Does this mean that this is too much prop.

Check for water flow from rudder inlets to water outlets,
There may be a some silicone or metal chips in the nipples or rudder inlet bores.
Try with a meat baster to push water through the setup,
Just hook it to the rudder water lines and see if it flow easy out the outlets.
