    Aeromarine Sprint Cat 40

Has anyone put a outboard on the back of a Sprintcat? If so, how did it perform and what set-up did you use?

I have a SprintCat 21 (29") and a HighPerformance Bullit Drive and T600 outrunner on 6S. The deck of the 21 has a very opened cutout that allows me to get two 3S packs up forward. Runs about 55 with a S225. You need to be carefull around turns as it will spin out if you take too tight of a turn.
Be prepared to make mods as the hull is not intended as an outboard. The transom on the 21 is pretty low so I needed to make some modifications inorder to get the outdrive high enough so that the prop shaft is about 3/16th above the sponsons.

stifflkd, put a longer rudder on that cat, and you'll be ripping WOT turns, no problem!
OP, the Sprintcat .40 requires a lot of power to move well. I'm not sure most outboards will do well with a 4092, or 1527 mounted to them.

I would not install an outboard motor on that boat.
