    Water pickup

    i just got a pro boat mystic and it has a copper water pickup on it how much drag do these have are they worth the drag they give i have never used one of these please give your opinion thanks

        I'd ditch it. Since its in the tunnel, it's hard to tell how deep it will run in the water, especially choppy water. A single rudder pickup would be plenty good.

            I run two of them on my SV27, just set it so it is just below the transom and you will be fine. I have never had a problem with them.

                Didn't make any difference with my SV running the rudder pick up or the two of these. I have mine set so the front of the pick up is even with the bottom of the hull. I'm running a UL-1 motor and a T-180 in the boat and nothing get over 100 degrees.
