    What does Io@10v mean?

This is a motors idle current at 10V meaning, no load current draw on a bench at 10 volts.

The significance of this number has been a bit of a mystery to me but, I think the lower the Io the more efficient the motor is.

I may be wrong and if I am corrected, it's all good.

        Whew...

That said, use it to compare 2 motors of similar construction and SAME kv. Comparing Io of a 2 pole to the Io of a 4 pole of same Kv doesn't really work.

Io of SSS 4074-2200kv is 1.8A

        Io of Neu 1515-2200Kv (1Y) is 2.5A

Now, I'm not saying the HOR SSS is more efficient than the Neu, it just has a lower io in printed specs. The SSS Io could have been measured at a different voltage than the Neu because specs for sss are not complete. The only way to tell is to test it or dyno it.

*Note: I do not in anyway think the sss is a better motor than a Neu 1515-1Y since the sss is a D wind, that changes things and thats where my brain kinda stops, lol...
