Flex shaft question ?

One of my New props (m445 sharpened and balanced ) came for my pursuit mono,I have the upgraded 1 pc shaft from OSE,however the hub on this one is quite a bit longer than my other prop,how much of the flrx shaft should be in the collet and how many threads should be out past the prop Nut ? with the gas boats we cut the shafts to be all the way in the collet to the motor shaft and about 3/8 of the threads out past prop nut ,this one is maybe 3/8 in collet and 1/8 of theads out past end of prop nut .. also do you put a little dab of locktite or something on the prop nut ? thanks

you need a gap roughly the width of the cable from the end of the stinger drive to the drive dog.

and from the collet to the brass shaft, the less unsupported the better. e.g. 1in gap at the absolute most
