Your perfect spot on match is the MHZ BTM 29". The Semper Fi is a 48ft MTI. MHZ makes an exact replica of the MTI hull.

What do you want the boat to do? I have a long skinny scale style H&M cat about that size. Goes like stink in a straight line, doesn't turn worth a crap. The general consensus is that style of cat doesn't handle very well. That MHZ is narrower than a Titan 29 mono I think.
Now I have the H&M set up for straight line speed, very close to 60mph with a UL-1 motor for a couple of passes. Have to back it way off to turn it around.
Fun but I'll probably be selling it, I prefer going in circles.
If you want to do straight line speed runs it'll probably be a great hull. Not so sure about an actual offshore runner where you have to turn.
I don't own that particular hull so I could very well be wrong about the handling. Just basing it on my experience with similar size scale style hull.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Very correct. The Mean Machine is not to scale. It is wider than it should be. The MHZ is spot on scale. However, these FE boats of ours are very overpowered (per scale) so the Mean Machine will handle better, the MHZ will SAW faster but not handle as well. I'm not positive. I've seen friends smoke similar size boats with an HPR cat around a race course, which is as accurate to scale as it gets. One thing Im sure of, if you're wanting to replicate a real boat, with a nice paint job, your not likely to be racing it. You should see the prop rashes on boats from getting run over by other racers. Usually you race your "pig-pen" boat, and SAW or sport run your shelf queens.

I am not lookin to race it by any means... We went to the race in Solomons Island Maryland last month. And the Girl Friend fell in love with the boat. So i told her I would replcate the boat to a "T" for her... It may get run a dozen times maybe..

I would definitely buy the MHZ. Thats not a bad price for a hull that will spot on replicate it. monojeff could do the vinyls. he did my miss geico vinyls.
