TFL Sea Predator RC Boat

I was just wondering if anyone here had any experience with this boat or one similar to it? Or if you think it looks like a good boat. This will be my first RC boat so I don't know a whole lot so any help would be appreciated :)

I noticed in the picture on the bottom of the page that it looks like the motor mount is wood. Where other boats seem to be metal. Is that ok?

My other option I'm looking at is a aquacraft minimono. I like that people say this is a stable boat. But I read that alot of people have problems with the shaft coming loose.

I've got it's bigger brother & it is one of my favorite boats. A guy at our club had one of the mini ones & it was a real little flier.
No. The mount is that standard TFL material. Not sure what it is, but it's not wood.

I bought mine from RC Boat Bitz here in Australia a few years ago. I don't know where they are sold now.

Good reference post. I am also wondering about how difficult it is to service/replace the servo on the little brother version. Can you let us know about? Thx.

I bought the hardware for a small boat project and was not too impressed with the sloppy rudder....... It looks good though.
