    Decisions Decisions

I thought I had a build plan for the coming winter. . . a whiplash sport 20. From everything I've read it has a pretty solid reputation. I would prefer something different in the cowl design though so I've been taking a closer look at the MLboatworks Gp335. I love the look of the modern hydros and Mike is coming out with some new cowls for his boats. The few videos I've seen of the boat seem impressive. Have they been around long enough to have proven themselves as solid as the whiplash? The final decision may come down to a combination of personal taste and a coin toss since they are both in the same price range. I am sure I'll be happy going either route. . . Heck, it would be great to have pockets deep enough to build one of each . . but it aint in the cards.
A dream not pursued is not worth holding.

My son is trying to make the same decision. Two of the guys we run with have Whiplashes and they run great, but Mikes boats look like they run great too. I think for him the decision may end up being based on which one will be a little less involved to build. The Whips don't look to bad to build but a few mods need to be done to make it more FE friendly. Mikes boats look a little easier to fit all the gear into and a bit less involved to build. This is just based on my observations as I have not actually built either one......yet!

ML vs. the Whip this spring! No idea about the ML but the Whiplash is far easier than your kneeler to build. I'll bring my kit next time we hit the pond and you can check it out. Pretty sure I'm going to take the plunge and get one of Mikes 1/8 scale framing kits and get rolling on the dream. Been talking about if for years. Pray for snow!
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?
