Good ol Venom/Atomik QC...HAH! Ive got the KOS they made, converted from gas to FE. Also, not a perfect paint or decal job. But it still looks good. I had a few questions on your hull that were noticed on a youtube video of this boat. Is the scoop on the canopy sealed, or open? What about the exhaust stacks in back? The vid I saw is where the guy flipped it, and water came onboard almost instantly. Hopefully they are sealed, if not, you have a bit of work ahead of you to keep your electrics safe. Also, im not sure if they are using the same material for the windshild, but mine had some thin plastic sheet that was hotglued in place. The first time i rolled it, is split the plastic windshield. Hopefully they made that strong for the FE version. If not, you will want to rip out that crap plastic window, and remake out of some lexan sheet, bolt it in and silicone around it. Below are some pics of my Venom KOS hull with the changes to make it FE suitable. Again, hopefully they changed things from the gas version, but if not, hope these help.

Yeah... Thanks for the info... Same thin windshield hot glued in... The exhaust scoop on top is a mesh wire, and you can see the little foam insert, so it is a risk... The exhaust stacks are also hollow and will have to be filled... Yikes... Looks like I have some work to get this thing rtr... I figured for $850, I would be rtr... I assume none of their boats are perfectly painted... It's nice, but far from perfect... This will be interesting... I wonder if the new black jack would have been the same quality???

Assuming I fill in all these problem areas , what should I fill them with???

I am looking at my new battery, and for some reason it has two red and two black leads!!! Which ones do I use??? Two have tinned solder on them, the other two have connectors... Not sure why there are four... A tad confused...

850 bux for a rtr that size is actually pretty cheap. A "flawless" paint job , like this design, on a boat that size, would cost like 500 bux from a decent painter. I would just be happy with what you got. It's affordable dood, you have by no means spent some large chunk of change on this boat... Guys spend way more on boats these size

It's not rtr? You can toss it in the water and run it can't you? What's stopping the boat from running?

Appreciate the insight... when it comes to boats I am a newb... I still really like it, and I am sure it will all work out... You are right it is rtr, but I will really need to waterproof it by the looks of all the see through holes in the canopy...

For the rear exhaust stacks, I just filled mine with clear marine grade silicone. For the canopy scoop, I removed the mesh, then cut a piece of plastic to fit behind the lip of the scoop opening, then siliconed that in as well. Ive got over $1k into my FE conversion, not including the intial purchase of this boat. Ive got a build thread going in the custom builds section of these forums with all the changes I made if that helps. All you need is a big tube of silicone and small piece of plastic to make it watertight. Then maybe some lexan sheet and a few stainless nuts and bolts if you decide to do the windshield. Its a simple weekend project. On your lipos, I have no idea. Mine came with 1 pos and neg lead, and a balance plug. If you have 2 pos and 2 neg, thats a new one for me.....but Im still new on the FE side of things. As for the Blackjack, I assume you mean the new Blackjack 29 from proboat...other than a higher amp ESC and maybe and new KV on the motor, looks to be the Mystic 29 in red. Those come completly sealed, just need to use some hatch tape when running. I may pick one up next summer, then mod the poop out of it. I really like that little hull.

How thick is the hull on these? Just interested as my venom P1 was paper thin. Not good.

The hull thickness seems fine to me, and its a pretty overall solid boat... I will you guys some more pics ASAP ok...
