I'm running 2 2S lipos in series (PolyRC, 4000mah, 25C) with the Sv27 motor, and a 40mm CF prop. I have a 42MM and 45mm prop as well, but wanted to start small, and see how it handles first.

For a picture of the setup inside the hull, see the last picture on post #11. I don't have a RX battery, just running a CC BEC.

I was actually also wondering about the strut height. Mine is 3/8" as measured from hull bottom, to centerline of the strut.

You did a great job on the build by the way.

Normally ( to get an inital adjustment) you would put the boat on a flat surface and with the hull level (ride attitude) you would set the strut flat down on the table. The strut adjustments I have mentioned with the various setups are for those setups. Motor, prop, battery.

Since you said the boat got right on plane and you didn't mention it hopping I would think the strut is "in the ballpark".
I don't know where to tell you to go with the CF props I haven't run any of them.
Go up in prop and play with the strut settings until you get the best possible handling and speed. Take notes on temp readings and such so you can compare your findings.

Any chance you can post a video?

Rule of thunb for a sport hydro is 1.5 to 2" behind the sponson transoms.

I have O experience with riggers. Other that pitting for Chris Harris. LOL

I got it from Fullers. It was very scratched up when I got it, and spent about 1/2 with wet/dry paper to remove most of the scratches and polish it up.
